Hunter S. Thompson hired/ collaborated with his good friend and artist Tom Benton to create his "Thompson For Sheriff" campaign print in 1970. This poster is a symbol of Hunter S. Thompson's political activism and intelligent rebel spirit that comes directly from Owl Farm. Hunter S. Thompson's Gonzo spirit lives on in his work, and his Gonzo symbol is an iconic symbol that fellow Thompson readers recognize in each other.

Each poster is printed on archival paper and inscribed by Hunter Thompson's wife, who also embosses each one with the official library seal -- the seal has not left Owl Farm since Hunter's death and is one of the best ways to determine authenticity. We can offer an additional certificate of authenticity on Owl Farm stationary, upon request (please let us know in the note at checkout and we're happy to include that in the same shipping tube).

Because each poster is personally signed and inscribed, it may vary from the image shown. If you would like her to inscribe it to a specific person, she is happy to do that too. Please include spelling in the notes at checkout. Thank you!

DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE PRINTING PROCESS, SOME MINOR FLAWS MAY APPEAR ON THE POSTER.

Dimensions: 30"x24"

Hunter S. Thompson's Converse Shoes not included! ;)
